Taiwan copyright law information:
1.
Works created by nationals of Taiwan,
United States of America, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and Spain
are protected.
2. Other works protected in Taiwan:
a) If it is first published in Taiwan, or
b) Published in Taiwan: within 30 days after first publication in a
nation that provides reciprocal protection to Taiwan nationals.
Remedies
Civil remedies available to a copyright
owner include:
a) monetary damages;
b) removal of infringement; and
prevention of future infringement; and
c) publication of a court
judgment.
Monetary damages will be assessed based on the profits
made by the copyright infringer; and losses of the injured party. If
the copyright owner fails to prove the actual amount of damages,
then the damages will be determined by the court. The amount is up
to $30,000 USD.
